Worst-Dressed
Despite having one of the world’s most sought physiques, Raquel was frequently on the “Worst Dressed” list throughout her career. Raquel was ranked third on Mr Blackwell’s Ten Worst Dressed Women list in 1963, behind Queen Elizabeth II and Barbra Streisand. “From Welch – you could belch!” the list said of Raquel’s dress style. Raquel had previously appeared on the dreadful list in 1967 and 1968, finishing in sixth place both times.

Nobody can deny Raquel’s willingness to get violent when it comes to her art! During the filming of Kansas City Bomber, the actress elected to conduct her own stunt work, which she undoubtedly regretted… Raquel was injured with a broken wrist, a wounded lip, a swollen cheek, and a bruised knee. Overall, production was paused for eight weeks as she recovered. If she could go back in time, we wonder if she would have done it all over again or hired a stunt double…
