Meet Lucy
Brianna followed the link to the website of a religious organization. Lucy was the group’s president, and she was a recognizable face. Brianna noticed her picture on the side of a nearby church. Lucy had beautiful blonde hair, a wide smile, and crystal blue eyes. The website was filled with prayers, affirmations, and advice for parents of all faiths. Brianna was immediately taken with what she saw. It appeared to be quite inclusive, and she agreed with many of the parenting advice. She responded with a lengthy note of gratitude to Lucy, and the two began to converse. What happened next was completely unexpected.

Lucy was soon messaging Brianna every day. Other members of the organization also reached out to her, complimenting and blessing her for her courage and fortitude. Brianna found herself unable to keep up with the volume of texts she was receiving. She didn’t have time to respond or even “like” all of the comments since she was trying to prioritize her family, as Lucy had advised her to do.
