She needed time to recover, time to gather her thoughts, and time to decide whether or not she could forgive him and try to repair their relationship after it was damaged. She watched with a heavy heart as Gary packed his bags and walked out the door, leaving her and their children behind. Gary had left her and their children behind. As she struggled to explain what was going on to the children, tears began to roll down her face.

In the middle of Caitlin’s emotional turmoil, she was able to seek comfort from her closest friend, Sarah. Throughout the course of their friendship, Sarah had been there for Caitlin whenever she needed support, and she remained by her side even in the midst of all of this turmoil. When Caitlin needed her support the most, she was there for her with an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on, and a voice of reason.
