Krysten’s father described the bride as a young girl and all of the things she enjoyed as a child. He even cried a little, but he was the only one who knew what would happen next. The guests all noticed something odd: he had brought some props. He reached for the props when he mentioned how much Krysten enjoyed Disney movies. He proudly removed two enormous gloves and placed them on his hands. They weren’t just any gloves; they belonged to Mikey Mouse.

Krysten’s mother was different from her husband in that she was more reserved. That’s why she requested him to explain his plans. She was clearly pleased with his proposal because she was grinning from ear to ear at her table. Krysten sensed something was wrong. Her father avoided looking her in the eyes, but her mother was staring at her. She looked to her mother to see what her father was up to, but it was pointless. Her mother simply sat and smiled.
