The divorce reportedly allowed Suri to start making more friends
What Suri thought at the time of her parents’ divorce is unknown to us. Was she really so upset that her parents weren’t together? Was it a relief for her to be free of the Church of Scientology? Whatever her views, she had to admit that the divorce had a significant impact on her life. This wasn’t entirely a terrible thing, either, since it seems to have helped her make more friends. Suri was apparently treated more like an adult when Tom and Katie were still married since that’s supposedly how Scientology operates. She was said to spend a lot of time seeing her father at work or attending dinners with her parents. Suri, however, was able to visit people her own age much more freely after the divorce.
Katie Holmes and Suri have reportedly bonded a lot since the divorce
The actor’s bond with his daughter may have been ruined by Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ divorce. Still, it’s said to have improved Suri’s relationship with her mother. Holmes has devoted the previous ten years to parenting the daughter by herself while juggling her job, and it looks like it has greatly paid off. And that’s even though Suri is a teenager now. In an Amazing magazine cover story, Katie acknowledged that they had become closer in the last several years. The two spent their time quilting, drawing, and cooking as the rest of the globe battled amid the global health crisis. Additionally, it appears that the two of them saw the romantic drama “Dirty Dancing” 10 times together, with Katie even breaking into a dance in their own house.
