40+ Dubious Photos Taken By Real Estate Agents While On The Job

The Purple Toilet

This lovely and very reflective bathroom takes on a rich purple hue and nearly appears as it belongs in a boutique hotel. While we are not wholly opposed to the use of such a color, the numerous mirrors are quite off-putting. Many of us would not want to be able to see ourselves from every aspect when we went to the bathroom. The carpets in the bathroom, on the other hand, are really old!

Multiple Toilets

Those of us who have to share a bathroom with our families have probably wished for two toilets in the house at some point. However, we are not certain that they are all in the same room. With two sinks, a bidet, and two toilets squeezed into this small space, it’s unclear how humans are intended to fit in there as well. To be honest, it’s all a little too close for comfort.

Minimalist Lounge

In contrast to the confined space above, this vast expanse is far from crowded. Time minimalism has been a popular interior design trend for a while, this room appears to be going a little too far. With only a leather sofa and one set of drapes, this large space is far from welcoming. Furthermore, we’re not sure why the other windows aren’t adorned or why the lampshade is in such an odd spot. Regardless, this area has a lot of promise, and those oak floors are stunning!

The Multi-Purpose Room

This multi-purpose space has everything and the kitchen sink. We believe this is from a restored barn that has been converted into a studio apartment, with every possible nook and cranny filled with useful objects. The floor, the painted brick wall, and the charming traditional beams are unquestionably the highlights. That rug is also unique; it is really thick and appears to be extremely comfortable. However, while there are some great touches, there is definitely space for improvement in terms of the arrangement.

A Caged Bed?

Our bedrooms are supposed to be places of rest and relaxation, but the addition of a chicken coop makes this room anything but. In fact, this one is just disturbing. There is no explanation for this enclosure around the bed, and we’ve been racking our brains for one. So far, the greatest one is to prevent pets from jumping up? Regardless, it does not appear to be very comfortable.

Relaxing In The Bathroom

We’re not sure where to start with this one, but we definitely get some old lady vibes. The bathroom itself is rather huge, and we love the red tiles and curving units. We might even excuse the dressing table and stool, which appear to be ideal for doing your makeup in the morning. However, the armchair and rug in the center may be taking things a little too far.

Car In The Living Room

The Mini Cooper is an iconic automobile, associated with classic movies, the 1960s, and the best of Britain. We’re not sure how the owners of this house managed to sneak an automobile into the living room. While the rest of the room is tastefully designed, with a distinct homey atmosphere, we must question the placement of the sofas in relation to the TV. How does one watch TV when all that is in front of them is another couch?

Tidy Up Time

Every one of us has been there. A phone call from relatives or friends informing them that they are coming over, culminating in a mad dash around the house, throwing items in cupboards, and hurriedly doing the dishes. The owners of this residence, on the other hand, were unconcerned about making this area more appealing. It must have taken them a long time to pack with so much clothing and luggage!

A Lack Of Privacy

At first impression, this appears to be a lovely space. The white walls, stunning doorway, skylight, and gorgeous wooden floors are all things to enjoy. However, it appears that they overlooked one very vital detail while creating this room – there are no walls for the bathroom! Although attractive, the stained glass panel does not provide the seclusion that you or your guests may require.

Attic Sty

This room is already occupied, with a huge pig appearing to be the primary occupant of the property. However, we must admit that Percy the Pig does appear to be at ease with his sofa as a pillow! Because this is thought to be an attic, we’re not sure how his owners got him up there in the first place. Should we also assume that the pig is included in the house price? This place appears to be in desperate need of repair!

Pink, Pink And More Pink!

Although pink is our favorite color, this living room appears to go a little too far. This appears to be the creepiest of all the rooms we’ve looked at. We’re not sure if it’s the strange dolls, the zebra rug, or the pictures on the ceiling, but we wouldn’t want to spend the night here. However, we can imagine those eyes following you throughout the room, but we’re prepared to overlook that because we’re in love with that chandelier!

Moldy Mold

You could be forgiven for believing this is a painting effect at first glance. Something about the Dalmatian makes us think this would be a popular pick for Cruella de Vil. However, upon closer scrutiny, this is not simply a painting. In reality, the black patches are mold that is developing and contaminating the area. As a result, even spending an hour in this room could have a negative impact on your health and happiness!

Chair Sculpture

In this room, it’s impossible to ignore the elephant… Buckaroo is a children’s game that inspired this odd chair sculpture. These many chairs and boxes stand tall after being meticulously stacked on top of one another. As a result, we don’t think we’d be very happy sleeping in this bed. Could you imagine? You’d certainly be startled if these fell on you in the middle of the night! What an uncomfortable scenario!

The Melted Fan

Despite being barren, the room in this photograph appears to be quite pleasant. The natural wooden floors and white walls give the space an airy vibe, and with the right furnishings, this could be a stunning room. The melted ceiling fan, on the other hand, raises more questions than it answers. What causes a fan to melt like this? What happened here, and what caused the wood to distort in this manner? This fan appears to be unable to withstand the heat!

Fire Safety

Again, this is a straightforward space with a lot of promise. However, we’re not sure why so many fire extinguishers are required for a single house, let alone a single room. Is this a warning that the radiator under the window should be used with caution? With so many options, this room provides good fire protection as well as wooden floors, neutral walls, and a lovely airy window.

The Upstairs Bathroom

Can you picture yourself having this ‘bathroom’ in your home? This toilet and sink layout on the stairs in such an inconvenient location provides no privacy. Although we must confess that it may make things easier if you need to use the restroom in the middle of the night. Furthermore, they have attempted to add some homely touches, with the plants providing some greenery to this open water closet, which is the polar opposite of en privé.

Strange Photoshop

The odd Photoshop skills of the realtor are being investigated, not the house itself. We presume that the stove was added to a blank spot to offer potential tenants a notion of where it should go. Their lack of technological skills, however, resulted in this strange graphic design arrangement.

A Family Portrait

This lovely family portrait has to be included in our selection of the strange and extraordinary. The father appears to be licking the baby’s head, and the mother appears to be licking his face. Zooming in to see the baby’s face simply adds another depth – and they say there is no such thing as an unattractive baby! Did these homeowners truly believe this portrait would be a selling point for their home?

Bidet Plants

The tiles in this bathroom are reminiscent of the 1970s when brown was the color du jour. The strangest aspect of this bathroom has to be the bidet being used as a plant planter. Although the splash of green in an otherwise drab bathroom is lovely, we are unsure whether this departure from its original function is a good one. Is it possible to use shower steam to help these plants grow? This homeowner could have easily found a nicer pot…

Paint By Numbers

It’s always strange when realtors Photoshop different elements onto a house, but it appears that this estate agent attempted to utilize the classic Microsoft Paint software instead. In addition to creating a pool, they colored in the grass to provide a vibrant dimension to the image. We’re not sure if this was entirely necessary. Although it provides useful information about where to locate a prospective swimming location, the program merely detracts from what is otherwise a beautiful view. However, we must commend your painting abilities…

Faces Everywhere

Another frightening real estate image has to be this wall covered in faces and masks. While one or two of these may look good, the many eyes glaring out are everything but fashionable. We’re also perplexed by the portrait location, what’s going on with the microwave, and the unusual eyeless decorations that provide an odd depth to the whole thing. Do you believe this house sold?

It’s A Jungle Out There

Interior designers are often talking about bringing the outside in, and we know that incorporating natural elements into your home may be a great way to decorate. This jungle-themed room, on the other hand, maybe going a little too far. This space is anything from peaceful, with plants covering the walls, trailing ivy, and lots of green. We can only imagine how uncomfortable the humidity from all the water required to keep this chamber alive would be…

Stairway To The Throne

We’re all for making the most of every square inch of space in your home, and it appears that this is a bathroom hidden beneath closed-off stairs. The rest of the room appears to be regular, with neutral colors and what appears to be a standard tub. The steps leading up to the toilet, on the other hand, give new meaning to the phrase “stairway to heaven.” In this residence, getting to the bowl in the middle of the night appears to be a far more risky undertaking.

Kitchen Clutter

This photograph has a lot going on! These homeowners should have held a yard sale before publishing this listing, it appears. Every inch of space has been jammed with ornaments and trinkets, resulting in an extremely crowded kitchen. With so much to look at, it can be tough to pick out the odd. However, we adore the organized cart in the center, and having a genuine teapot on the stove is absolutely great.

The Height Of Luxury

We get the impression that the owners had a very clear idea of the effect they wanted to achieve with this wonderful bathroom. With a touch of ostensible luxury, such as embroidered towels and a fancy sink, it almost appears appropriate for the queen. However, it would be very appreciated if someone could clarify what is going on with the bath. Is it a material cover that needs to be raised each time they use it, or is it a realistic painted effect?

House Of Dolls

Dolls have a creepy quality about them. We’re not sure if it’s their infantile expressions, their strange staring eyes, or the fact that we watched too many doll-related horror movies as teenagers. However, we would not want to spend the night in this chamber, which appears to contain hundreds of dolls of various shapes and sizes. Whoever ends up buying this house must insist on the removal of these dolls!

A Floral Bathroom

We can’t help but believe that this is another example of going too far with nature in interior design. This nearly feels like a country garden gone wrong, with so many floral statues reminiscent of an English garden, and the butterfly placed on the toilet itself. What’s the deal with the plastic covering the floor? Is it there to keep the floor clean, or is it there to hide something? Without an explanation, our imaginations run wild.

Doors For Days

This door labyrinth provides a ‘one-of-a-kind’ design feature. It’s unclear where they lead, but there are at least four in this short image alone. However, there is a good likelihood that there are more doors hidden behind the closed ones. We’ll never know where they go, but we’d like to figure out how people are expected to use the small middle one, which is so high up. Perhaps they’re purely decorative?

The Natural Pool

Nature reclaiming the urban environment has a beautiful quality to it, but it may not be what you are seeking for when buying or renting a new house. This pool has been transformed into a dark bog, complete with algae and vegetation, making it unfit for swimming. We can only pray that no one mistook this brilliant green pool for a patch of grass and stepped right into it!

Jesus And The Devil

This is a very colorful room, with bold and vibrant red and yellow creating a statement. However, it is not simply this chamber that gives you a headache; it is the unexplained mural that goes things too far. It appears that Jesus and the Devil are in some sort of arm-wrestling contest. Although this artwork conjures up fundamental ideas about good vs. evil, we’re not sure if it’s one we’d want on our living room wall.

Toilet In The Kitchen

There have already been some unusual toilet placements on this list, but installing one in the kitchen appears to be taking things too far. Not only are there no walls or privacy, but we’re not sure this room is really sanitary. Except for the inclusion of a toilet, the kitchen is quite typical, and we anticipate that new renters or owners will soon have this room returned to normal.

Everything In One Place

This space is tastefully designed, yet there is a lot going on here. The individuals who reside in this property were determined to make the most of their living space. Aside from the standard living room setup of a sofa, TV, and chair, there is also a shower, sauna, and a small kitchenette. Basically, everything you need and more in a single small space! What makes us worry is what will be left for the rest of the flat.

Animal Mural

This incredible artwork was undoubtedly produced by a talented artist. There are numerous exquisite features, and the animals are really realistic. However, it appears that this is far too exciting for the person sleeping in this room. How does one sleep at night when there is so much to look at? Even the ceiling is covered in a vivid blue sky from wall to wall. We hope whoever bought this house did not cover up this masterpiece.

Water Closet

Bathrooms come in different forms and sizes, but this tiny bathroom beneath the stairs may be going too far. There isn’t enough space to swing a cat in there, let alone use the toilet, like in Harry Potter’s original bedroom. Furthermore, we are concerned about the lack of a sink – where would one wash their hands? At least the owners of this house were kind enough to put some tiles on the floor…

Catch Up

We all enjoy catching up on the phone with our pals. Nothing beats gossiping with your best friend or catching up on the latest news with your family to let you know they are thinking of you. However, we’re not sure how appropriate it is to be talking to a loved one while using the toilet! Make sure to finish the phone before flushing, or you might wind up having an unpleasant chat…

Bright And Beautiful

Taking the vintage theme a little too far, this colorful yellow bathroom will undoubtedly wake you up in the morning. It’s vibrant and colorful, and there’s clearly a lot going on in such a little place. However, we must acknowledge that we do not despise those tiles; we simply need to remember that in the future, less is more. We can’t help but wonder if the rest of the house has a color scheme as well; the image has a different hue in each room!

Soaking In The Tub

We all like a good soak in the tub, and nothing beats it for some much-needed rest and relaxation. However, we have another homeowner who appears to be unconcerned about privacy. Because it’s directly on the stairs, it’s also pretty perilous, especially when you consider climbing out of the tub with wet feet on that narrow strip of tiles. To be sure, this could be marketed as an infinite tub – imagine the Instagram shots you could post!

It’s Laundry Time!

Whoever sought to sell this house must have hoped that only individuals with vivid imaginations would see it. This ostensible dining room is crammed with heaps of laundry and clutter, resulting in a cluttered home. This room makes us want to tidy, from the golf clubs in the corner to the boxes under the table. Looking through all of these photos has taught us one thing: if the realtor is on his way over to take pictures, clean up first!

Outdoor Meeting Area

This lovely townhouse has a lot of potentials, although it all feels a little run down. Is this the greatest method to sell a home? Although having seats outside can be a terrific way to enjoy some sun and alfresco dining, we don’t sure this outdoor space filled with office chairs is entirely what they had in mind. However, location is crucial, and judging by the stunning graffiti artwork on the walls, this property is clearly in a cool area of town.

Sidewalk Living Room

We all enjoy unwinding on the sofa at the end of the day, but I guess it might be a little claustrophobic in this small sitting room. The wallpaper appears to be on its final legs, and the carpet/floor gives the impression that this was built on a sidewalk. We’re confident this is what a new tenant would consider when looking for a new place to live. We hope the couch comes with the home because it looks quite comfortable.

Kitchen Parasol

Unlike many of the other kitchens on our list, this one is tidy and well-designed. Yellow is a popular kitchen hue, and the blue and white tie everything together well. The utilization of outdoor furniture, on the other hand, provides a whole new depth to this room. To be fair, the table and chairs don’t seem too horrible, but we think they should have skipped the open parasol… Perhaps the new owner should look for leaks in the ceiling.

No Entry Here

We feel terrible for the kitchen fitter who caused this mess, but what were they thinking? The misplaced cabinets entirely block access to this entrance, but they are surely making the most of every available area. We suppose the ineffective exit might be compared to a window, however, given that the door appears to open inwards, it would be incredibly difficult to get a breeze flowing.

Sharp Edges

Although this list is considered a collection of the strange and amazing, this real estate gem is one of our favorites. This room’s occupant appears to be a big lover of cubism or M.C. Escher’s art. The harsh edges are unmistakable, but we assume the staircases go up to a modest sleeping room, and the colors are undeniably lovely. This home’s owners have certainly made the most of this area, but we doubt it will be a selling feature.

Double Fridge Kitchen

We’re not sure if it’s the red floorboards, the vent above the door, or the zig-zag wallpaper, but this kitchen makes us think of an American diner. However, in the instance of this listing, it looks that this is a refrigerator arena, as these two refrigerators appear to be in mid-chase around the room. Clearly, these fridge freezer combos were positioned recklessly, but we believe the entire space just needs a nice cleaning and a fresh coat of paint to be worthy of new owners.

Not So Safe Bathroom

We just don’t feel secure in this bathroom. Not only is the washing machine in a perilous position, but there are also several loose wires, clutter, and a pane of glass casually put against the wall. However, we’re curious how these homeowners handle their washing, as we admit to struggling to load and unload the clothes with a machine on the floor…

Medieval Style

This chandelier adds a medieval touch to the bathroom. These homeowners appear to have taken the concept of complementing lighting in the bathroom a little too far. While it would have been better suited to a dining area, the light fixture isn’t the worst element. However, when combined with the black towels, fleur de lis, and standard bathroom appliances, it stands out by a mile. We can’t help but wonder if this is a running theme throughout the house…

Paint Effects

Another room with no explanation, although we’re thinking there was a spontaneous paint fight at some point in its history. The refrigerator and cooker appear to have been splashed with blue paint, as has the floor. The testing panels on the wall could indicate that they were experimenting with color combinations, and this could be the effect that they were attempting to produce.

Your Choice

This red and white bathroom appears to be quite stylish at first sight. While we dislike the pedestal mat, the utilization of a color scheme elevates this area above the rest in terms of décor. Furthermore, you are unlikely to run out of toilet paper, as there are three holders for the item. It appears that this family was tired of shouting at each other for more toilet paper and devised this smart solution instead.

Marilyn Fan?

This area allows you to journey back in time and enjoy some retro beauty, as this homeowner is a huge lover of Miss Marilyn Monroe. It’s incredibly vibrant and brilliant, and that chandelier is incredible. We certainly do not despise this room. This homage to the Some Like it Hot star is evocative of a boutique hotel with a splash of color, and we can only hope that the new owners keep the house’s magic alive when they move in.
