Fans of Netflix’s witty animated comedy will be happy to know that it has been renewed for a sixth season. The comedy, created and voiced by Nick Kroll and Andrew Goldberg, follows a group of preteen boys and girls as they start on a journey we all know all too well and may be eager to forget: puberty. We get an intimate view into the heads of the protagonists through embarrassing moments and crippling insecurities, made simpler by the medium of animation, which can take artistic liberties that live action cannot. The show may be too personal for adolescent viewers, but it’s a humorous, often tragic adventure for us adults. Netflix has revealed plans for a seventh season to premiere in April 2022.
