Selling Sunset
Status: Renewed
Network: Netflix
Est. Cost: $200,000 per episode*
Selling Sunset has been on our televisions for five seasons, depicting the odd, glamorous, and fascinating world of selling multi-million dollar estates. Fans have been enamored with the agents’ ability to get the job done – as well as the drama of their personal lives! Given how successful the program is, it’s hardly surprise that Netflix renewed it for a fourth season before the fourth season even premiered. Season 5 premiered in April 2022, however nothing is known about Season 6 as of yet.
The Simpsons
Status: Renewed
Network: Fox
Est. Cost: $6.5 million per episode*
This animated series was one of the first of its kind, and The Simpsons has been so successful that it has been running for 33 seasons and counting, with a total of over 700 episodes. Dan Castellaneta and Nancy Cartwright provide the lead voices for the animated comedy, which premiered on December 17, 1989. Matt Groening created it for Fox. The actors just negotiated a $100,000 pay raise. They first requested $500,000 each show, but Fox bargained them down to $400,000 per episode—still a significant raise. Given the series’ popularity, it’s unlikely to stop anytime soon.
