You haven’t responded to any of my calls or texts, and you haven’t even bothered to leave a voicemail. Stacy entertained herself by playing with her fingers while she watched her daughter. “Lauren, sweety, you need to go play in the other room.”

Stacy got to her feet and proceeded to walk over to Jamie. She appeared to be in a glum mood, perhaps even guilty. She took his hand and prompted him to sit down before leaving the room. Even though Jamie was convinced that his wife had betrayed his trust while he was gone, his love for her was unending, and he followed her to the couch out of respect for her.
