Birthdays are wonderful because you are another year older and there are generally gifts to open. Even on your birthday, though, there are some things that are inappropriate. This person believed that the best thing to ask for their birthday was money. That’s great, but this follow-up post really pushed the envelope into Karen territory. Why bother bothering again if they didn’t give you money the first time? We believe that the fact that they weren’t paid for nothing is sufficient reaction.

They’re Not Coming Back!
Karens have a go-to phrase to keep them out of trouble when they are pushed up against a wall. At the very least, they’ll use their own patronage as bait for the employees. The truth is that if you treat people badly, they won’t want to work with you again. This employee captured the emotion that most employees feel when they hear this phrase. In other words, it isn’t as frightening or crushing as Karens may believe.
