One of the players crashes head first into the shoulder of another while chasing after a loose ball. That… most likely left an impression. This image is from an Indiana University vs. Iowa basketball game. Indiana defeated Iowa 89-90, but it was the photographer who captured this image who was the true victor of the game. Making A Funny Face Adds Power
Even if we presume that this Cricket player is following perfect form in this photograph, did she really need to make that expression on her face at all? It appears to have an effect on her ability to throw the ball with force. A more favourable photograph would almost certainly be preferred by her, at the very least. Once again, she is undoubtedly aware of the advantage she gained from making this face during the battle. Probably to give herself a little additional pep in her step!
