The Great Sphinx of Giza is a stunning landmark located next to the pyramids. This massive monument is a limestone statue of a sphinx, a mythical monster with a lion’s body and a human’s head. The Sphinx was originally cut from bedrock and rebuilt with layers of blocks. It is 66 feet tall and 240 feet long.
