Mark was not aware of how this dog had managed to place herself in such an unusual circumstance; yet, he was aware that he had the utmost regard for this animal because of the self-sacrifice it had shown. It was the very least that she deserved for her situation to deteriorate in a shelter, therefore he made the decision to look into adopting the animal.

The procedure did not present any challenges at all. The animal shelter made sure the dog didn’t even have a microchip by checking for one (so they could look for the owner of the dog), but they were unsuccessful. That meant that Mark did not even have to make an attempt to locate the dog’s previous owner because he was able to simply take the dog home with him.
