Looking for Support
Brianna decided to build a Facebook page to tell her story in order to find support. She couldn’t let the bullies get her down, and she knew that telling the world how much she adored her gorgeous boy, white mark and all, would make her feel better. It appeared to be the correct thing to do at first. She received dozens of messages and comments from other mothers who had faced similar challenges, offering guidance, hope, and encouragement. Brianna had been looking for a supportive community, and she had found one.

Real Life Backlash
Regardless of the good remarks Brianna received online, her real-life experience was quite different. Some of her neighbors were so brazen that they took images of Bobby without her consent. They, like the women in the maternity unit, believed Bobby possessed sinister abilities. He was even dubbed the “black Harry Potter” by some, and the local gossip daily printed an article about him. Brianna was enraged. She had no idea how bad things were about to get.
