“I eventually summoned the fortitude to call him and confront him with the truth. “He’s on his way to see me right now,” the teen claimed. Thomas took a deep breath. “Great. “If you agree to me sharing your information with him, I’ll be happy to meet with him and update him on your progress,” Thomas stated to her. He departed again after she agreed. Thomas was worried, but he attempted to keep his expectations in check. Collins was, after all, a popular name—there had to be a lot of Collins in Idaho. But when he entered Sarah’s room later that day, he couldn’t believe who was there with her.

“Oh, excuse me—” Thomas began to speak but abruptly stopped as he stared his younger brother, Zachary, in the eyes. He’d aged considerably—after all, it had been over three decades since he’d seen him last. Zachary stared at the doctor, perplexed as to how he could be seeing his long-lost brother in his daughter’s hospital bedside. “Thomas? “What’s going on?” he wondered. Sarah observed the discussion with interest and inquired, “Do you two know each other?”
