Regardless of what she’s doing now, in the teen comedy film ‘Clueless,’ Alicia Silverstone’s biggest role will always be as high school student Cher Horowitz. Silverstone was still a teenager at the time the movie was released, so she had only just left school herself. As a student, her time probably gave her all she needed to bring Horowitz to life. It’s just a shame that the character wasn’t a cheerleader, because in that role, Alicia had a lot of experience. Throughout her time at San Mateo High School, she was one.

Like the timid germaphobe Emma Pillsbury in ‘Glee,’ Jayma Mays was a cheerleader. But because the character would never strut her stuff on a squad, that doesn’t mean either the actress wouldn’t. At high school, Mays was a passionate member of her cheerleading team. Like many of these stars, being on the squad helped her gain confidence, strengthening her performing skills. These two things have certainly been helpful for her career, which began a few years after she graduated.
