It’s unlikely that we’ll ever see Ann Margaret on the cheer squad again when she’s fast approaching her 80s. She was one of the peppiest cheerleaders around though, back in the day. At New Trier High School, Margaret knew how to get the crowds going, and it seems that passion translated into her later career as an actress. She can now rest easy after a long and successful career that, among many other nominations, has seen her win five Golden Globe Awards. Not that Ann has plans to retire anytime soon, of course.

The beautiful ward of Sela may be known today for her acting career, but the University of Alabama knows her as one of their cheering squad’s prestigious alumni. The actress had cheered for the football team Crimson Tide years before she was on TV.She graduated in 1977, having studied fine art and advertising.
