Clean Food Containers
If you take your lunch to work or use plastic containers for leftover food, you know the pain of a like-new container becoming permanently stained. Acidic foods like tomato sauce can leave horrible stains on your containers, and it often seems impossible to clean off. To fix the containers, cover a clean sponge with baking soda and scrub them.

Clean Your Sponges
This is something else ou might not think about cleaning often enough, but why would you want to scrub your dishes with a filthy sponge? Sponges pick up and absorb bacteria more quickly than you would ever think. If you notice your sponges looking or smelling unsightly, soak them in a water and baking soda mixture overnight and rinse it out in the morning.
