In 2017, while filming “Mission: Impossible 6” Cruise attempted to leap from rigging onto a structure. But he slipped on the landing and broke his ankle! He had to take seven weeks off from filming to properly heal, but when he returned, he was ready to take on the stunts alone.

Actors normally devote a significant amount of time to their parts, learning their lines and getting to know their characters, but Cruise took preparation to a whole other level. He practiced for five hours every day for his role in “Rock of Ages,”! He acknowledged that the job was scary because it was his first musical and needed dancing and singing. But he also saw the film as a personal challenge to overcome, and he even sang in it, much to the delight of fans.
