The next day, Oliver returned to the Mark. When I walked in, the tone was completely different than the day before. Oliver was no longer welcome, but he chose despite his reservations. He needed to know how much the jewel was worth. Meanwhile, Mark’s behaviors were quite suspicious.

Mark began to act suspiciously as the conversation began. He forbade Oliver from handling or viewing the rock. This left Oliver perplexed. What, for God’s sake, does that entail? The Mark had not yet been created. He proceeded into a lengthy rant.
