Oliver had been awake all night, unable to sleep. Oliver accepted his neighbor’s offer to stay with him because he was no longer at ease in his own home. Oliver calculated how long it would take to get to the jewelry store and deliver the gem. Oliver was already present when the shopkeeper opened the door.
