Tom may be adamant that there has been no misconduct on the part of the Church of Scientology in this instance. It seems likely, though, that he will remain a member of the church and never have a connection with Suri. Tom would have been in touch by now if its opinions of those who quit the church weren’t preventing him from seeing his daughter. After all, he’s still able to communicate with Suri despite the fact that his acting work may need a lot of time. So, we definitely shouldn’t expect a reunion with Suri anytime soon unless Cruise decides to abruptly leave the Church of Scientology. Regretfully, at this point, it’s difficult to see the actor ever abandoning the faith.

But then, maybe the actor might see his daughter again without having to quit the Church of Scientology? Not if Leah Remini is correct in her assumptions regarding the actor’s motivations. Remini is well-known for leaving the church on her own and for being quite candid about her experiences as a Scientologist after leaving. She claims that Tom is only waiting for Suri to reach adulthood in order to get her to return to the religion. We don’t know if the girl would be accepted back because she is allegedly a “Suppressive Person” and her well-publicized expulsion damaged Scientology’s reputation. The church may, however, grant Cruise and his daughter an exemption.
