Mari had become accustomed to the reality that her son was in a serious relationship by the time December rolled around. She met Alina for the first time and was taken aback by how lovely she was. Mari couldn’t have asked for a better girl to steal her son’s heart than she and Joe were. Mari could feel herself giving in, and she came to adore Alina just as much as Joe did.
