Michael tried to shake these concerns about his eye color off, telling himself he was crazy. Anyone in his family tree could have had brown eyes. It couldn’t be that uncommon after all. He took the time to focus on bringing all of his kids and family together. They regularly had small get-togethers to introduce Emma into the world, and often one guest came by more than the others.

A recently visited Michael’s house and turned out to be the nephew of one of his old friends. His name was Benjamin, and Michael used to give him rides home from school when he was in preschool. He even took him to a bar for his 21st birthday party! Michael seemed very close with the visitor- he even called him “little Benjamin” once.
