In spite of the fact that Patrick was fuming, he restrained himself long enough to take a picture. He stifled his rage as he considered the possibility that he had jumped to conclusions too quickly. After all, he had no way of knowing the specifics of the couple’s circumstance. However, the next thing he saw in the Walmart parking lot was about to be the thing that sent him over the edge.

Patrick was putting in a lot of effort in order to make ends meet. Both he and his wife had made tremendous efforts to improve their financial situation so that they could provide for their children. He felt bound by obligation to do what he did and also felt as though he had been betrayed.
