Surprisingly Lucid
The reason for Carla’s lowered expectations is the fact that old age often meant a neglected home, one that has messy rooms and would be harder to sell. Carla, however, thought that this might not be the case for Joyce since the 96-year-old sounded surprisingly lucid despite her age. The other tidbits, such as Joyce revealing having collected assorted items in her home, did not exactly thrill the experienced realtor but Carla began to feel some excitement and hope for the property nonetheless.

The sisters’ years in the real estate industry made them quite familiar with the Toronto area. They were experts at buying and selling properties located in the city’s well-known neighborhoods. There are times when they got lucky with a property, which only needed minimal work and pretty much sold itself. While they were not completely sure if this was true for Joyce’s house, it seemed unlikely.
