An Extreme Decision
Nadya Suleman’s next step astonished the globe, and her decision overnight elevated her to celebrity status in 2008. She returned to Dr. Michael Kamrava, who had performed all of her IVF treatments since she was unhappy with her six children. She wanted to try IVF again, and this time she opted to have all six of her previously unused eggs implanted to avoid wasting them. Dr. Kamrava was originally hesitant to accept since he was aware of the tremendous risk to the mother that six eggs implanted at the same time could offer. Despite the fact that Nadya was aware she could be pregnant with many children, he said he implanted all six eggs since she insisted on it. Dr. Kamrava inserted twelve eggs, significantly more than the recommended number! It was inevitable that such a huge danger would have an impact.
