Gladiator had an unusual addition to the chariot race that wasn’t so ancient
- Movie: Gladiator
- Year: 2000
- Mistake: Gas canister left on the chariot
The Ancient Romans were famous for a variety of reasons. They contributed to the development of various items that are still in use today, as well as roads that would put many construction professionals to shame. However, we’re rather certain they didn’t have access to gas canisters back then. If they did, they maintained them as one of the best-kept secrets in the world. Of course, recreating those famed chariot races required the production team for the 2002 historical drama film ‘Gladiator’ to go all out. What is the issue? They forgot to hide or edit out the gas canister on the rear of one of the chariots. It’s easy to overlook yet nearly impossible to ignore once you know it exists.
Teleporting extras in Friends have no issues navigating New York City traffic
- TV show: Friends
- Year: 2004
- Mistake: Extras seem to teleport around the city
There are sitcoms and then there are sitcoms like ‘Friends.’ The classic took the genre and turned it on its head, becoming one of the best of its sort to this day. Millions of people tuned in to find out if Ross and Rachel will wind up together and to see Monica and Chandler welcome the twins. In one scene, Phoebe and Ross race to the airport to prevent Rachel from boarding the plane, only to arrive at the wrong airport. Perhaps if they had the same abilities as the teleporting extras who appear to travel from one airport to the next in the blink of an eye, they wouldn’t have had as many problems.
