They spent three weeks cruising the Mediterranean on a friend’s yacht. Unfortunately, their marriage lasted just five years.

Jean-Pierre Aumont was a well-known French actor who rose to prominence through roles in films such as “Les Miserables” and “The Red Balloon.” In the early 1950s, he met the stunning Italian actress Marisa Pavan, and the rest is history. The couple eventually got married in 1956. The photo above shows the happy newlyweds sharing a private time together while on their honeymoon in Ischia, Italy. The pair remained together until 1963, then separated for six years before remarrying in 1969. They remained married until Aumont’s death in 2001, proving that second chances work.
