The Creation Of Niagara
Around 18,000 years ago, advancing ice sheets blasted vast swaths across the continent that would eventually become North America, resulting in Niagara Falls. Then, as the ice began to melt, it unleashed a torrent of water into the Niagara River, creating a cascade. The torrent also undermined the neighboring cliffs, creating the natural beauty that we are all familiar with and enjoy today.

The Famous Tourist Attraction
Located on the border of the United States and Canada, Niagara Falls has become one of the world’s most famous tourist attractions. It is one of the most photographed places on the planet. Having said that, it is not known how long people have been aware of its existence, nor how long it has been known to them. And while there are no written accounts of such events, it’s possible that the region’s indigenous inhabitants were the first to behold the magnificence of the falls when they were first discovered.
