Tommy nearly doubted himself – it wasn’t so crazy that the man didn’t trust him, after all… He probably wouldn’t have believed it himself! But Tommy was certain, and he would not be sent away by Victor. He sought answers and was not about to leave without them!

Even if the book wasn’t what he expected, at least he’d know the truth. As a result, Tommy gently removed the book from his bag and placed it on the counter. As he stared at it and then at Tommy, Victor’s eyes widened in surprise. “Where did you get this book?” he inquired.

Victor went back to the counter and requested Tommy to wait. He informed him that he had summoned an expert to examine the book and that she would arrive shortly. Tommy was not in a hurry to get home, and he found the whole thing incredibly exciting.

The specialist promptly came at the shop. She replied she’d come as soon as she could and asked if she might go at the book. Tommy assured her that she could, of course. He tried hard not to show that he was frightened about what she was about to tell him!

Tommy and Victor stood silently watching the expert as she checked out the book. She had a solemn expression on her face, and they couldn’t tell what she was thinking. Tommy almost doubted himself again when she eventually turned around and talked to him.

“Please allow me to halt you right there! Thank you; I’ll take that book with me. “You are now free to leave,” the expert stated, motioning toward the door. Tommy couldn’t think of anything to say. What was the situation? He wasn’t about to leave his book there!

The front door swung open, and two men entered. Tommy felt they were more than simply clients based on their appearance… They were both dressed in suits and sported security earpieces. It didn’t take long for Tommy to figure out why they’d gone to the shop.

He confronted the expert who had seized his book, but all she answered was, “Why are you still here?” “I thought I told you to get out.” And she instantly approached the guards who had just entered the business. She must have summoned them…

“There you have it! It took you far too long. This is the book. Victor was correct in his assessment. Take it to the lab right away for testing, and tell Dr. Roberts to call me as soon as the results are in. I don’t want to miss out on any updates! And the door gradually closed behind her. She’d gone, leaving the book with the guards, and Tommy’s aspirations of carrying the book back home with him had been dashed. He knew these guards would never just hand it over to him, and he couldn’t escape or fight them.

And, given that they were twice his size, he would rather not fight them. He stood back and watched as they turned around and walked out the door, nodding to Victor as a greeting. The book vanished in an instant. And the expert had left Tommy even more perplexed than he was before!

However, the information sign next to it stated that this book was hundreds of years old. Tommy dismissed the fact that it looked exactly like his book as a bizarre coincidence and resumed his search.

As he strolled around, he found a door labeled “EMPLOYEES ONLY.” Normally, he would have gone straight past it without even looking at it, but now it was the thing that attracted him closer. He simply knew he had to sneak through that door.

He was about to enter through the third door when he heard voices behind him. Oh no! If someone spotted him here, they would probably send him away. He needed to find a solution as soon as possible… Fortunately, he had thought of a decent place to hide.

Tommy was taken aback by this reaction. After all, he had broken into a restricted location! But he wasn’t going to tell the man because he hadn’t realized it yet. Instead, he just stated, “I don’t understand… “What makes this book so unique?”

Dr. Roberts described why this book was so important and why his team wanted to research it. He was shocked to learn that Tommy had discovered it, but he wanted to make a bargain.
