There was a time when Jim Caviezel was a well-known face in the entertainment industry. Then, in 2004, Mel Gibson appeared on the scene in a small role for the actor. In Gibson’s R-rated Passion of the Christ, Caviezel would take on the character of “the” Jesus Christ, which he would portray in the film. The picture was widely derided for being controversial and overly violent, and for this, it garnered a lot of criticism. Despite the fact that Gibson warned the actor that he would be blacklisted by the community, Caviezel agreed to take on the role nevertheless.

Vince Vaughn
Vince Vaughn was a former comic-book-to-film dynamo who rose to fame in the 1990s. Unfortunately, Vaughn was never able to rise above his humorous persona when it came to more serious jobs (take note of his performance on True Detective). He has also stated that he feels that allowing guns in schools would be effective in preventing mass shootings… a point of view that the Hollywood elite does not share. There was no major setback in this case; rather, there was a string of disappointing conclusions.
