Because the actress did not wish to continue with press appearances, and because she was not being compensated for her time, the film’s director, Lee Daniels, would later confirm that the actress had been blacklisted as a result of her lack of commitment to the project and that the actress had been blacklisted. “Her demands, made through Precious, were not always in line with the campaign’s objectives. “As a result, her relationship with the Hollywood community became strained.”

Sondra Locke
Sandra Locke, best known for her Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in The Heart is a Lonely Hunter, was formerly in a 14-year relationship with Clint Eastwood. Unfortunately, the pair ended their relationship on sour terms, leading Locke to believe she was being blacklisted by veterans in the industry. In an out-of-court settlement, Eastwood negotiated a film production deal with Warner Bros Studios on Locke’s behalf, which was later approved by the court. The payment, on the other hand, was deemed to be fraudulent because the studio never authorized any of Locke’s more than 30 pitch ideas.
