Natalie Maines

Natalie Maines, lead vocalist of the Dixie Chicks, didn’t do herself any favors when she blasted then-President Bush over the invasion of Iraq in 2003, and she should have known better. She issued an apology immediately after, but in 2006, she entirely withdrew the apologies she had issued. Despite the fact that the band was blacklisted by a large number of radio stations at the time, they have subsequently re-emerged. Maines, on the other side, is still too much of a political enigma to be taken seriously.

Lloyd Bridges

Lloyd Brides, the father of Jeff and Beau Bridges, was an American actor who appeared on stage, in films, and on television, and in over 150 movie pictures. During the 1950s, he was briefly blacklisted after admitting that he had been a member of the Actors’ Laboratory Theatre, which had ties to the Communist Party. His exclusion from the workforce did not last long, as he returned to work in 1951 for his television debut in Man’s First Debt.
