This shot is both intriguing and beautiful, as well as terrible. You’ve probably heard that a bee dies if it stings you and loses its stinger. We’d heard it before, but never seen it so close up. This unhappy bee determined that today would be the day she died fighting. As she stings her opponent and runs, the stinger breaks her apart. Oh, you miserable bee! We’re devastated because we adore bees, and bees are essential to our ecosystem!
