Anthony Bourdain apparently once used oysters to get back at his parents
Anthony Bourdain always made eating a priority in his life. That wasn’t always the case, though, as much as he enjoyed cooking it and the taste of it. Sometimes it was just the buzz of seeing people’s reactions. He acknowledged that a family vacation to France had an impact on this in a Guardian interview. Apparently, while eating inside La Pyramide, Bourdain’s parents once left him and his brother in their car outside. He reportedly retaliated by ordering oysters and other disgusting dishes as a result. According to reports, even if not always for the best reasons, it encouraged him to be more daring with his tastes.
Anthony Bourdain could apparently be quite shy and quiet
When celebrities frequently appear on television, you might draw certain conclusions about them. The fact that Anthony Bourdain wasn’t the person some people believed him to be from television is one of the facts about his life. Those who knew the chef best said that when the cameras weren’t rolling, he could be quite quiet and shy. One of the chef’s childhood friends, Sam Goldman, acknowledged that he experienced bullying quite frequently. This might have had an impact on his actions later in life, all the way up until his passing. Chris Collins, who collaborated with Bourdain on a number of different shows, revealed that Anthony was shy and didn’t interact with the crew very much.
