A Parent’s Concern
Lily’s parents exchanged worried glances as she finished her story. “You did what you thought was right,” her mother said gently. “But wild animals aren’t pets, Lily. They need to be in their natural habitat, where they can survive and grow.” Lily’s father nodded in agreement. “We have to figure out what they are and how to help them.” Though Lily knew they were right, her heart ached at the thought of losing them.
Reaching Out for Help
The next day, Lily’s parents made some calls, reaching out to local wildlife experts. They described the creatures, and an animal rescue volunteer agreed to come over to assess them. Lily felt a lump in her throat at the thought of strangers taking away her beloved animals, but she knew they needed proper care. The waiting felt endless as she sat by the animals’ side, watching them play innocently, unaware of what was happening.
