Her Reminder
The surgery left Katie with a 30-centimeter scar extending from her sternum down to her pelvis. Soon after the procedure, she found it much easier to walk around. She was very much looking forward to start her life anew with all the changes. Katie’s right ovary needed to be removed, which is a disadvantage of the procedure, but the doctors told her this had no effect on her having children.
