Krysten realized she knew who the woman was just as her father returned to the spotlight in the middle of the room. She’d seen her expression before. Could it possibly be her? As the woman walked to the center of the room, Krysten had no doubt that this woman was who she thought she was. Her jaw fell and her eyes widened in surprise. However, based on Chris’ look, he still had no idea what was going on.

Krysten’s father was smiling at her and taunting the audience, who had no idea who she was. “Can you guess who I found hanging out…in the…well, by the sea?” ” While Krysten was in utter shock, Chris was perplexed yet smiling. He assumed this woman was a friend of Krysten’s father. Or was she someone important? There seemed to be just one person in the room who knew who this unexpected visitor was, and that was Krysten.
