Nervous Anticipation
The wedding had gone off without a hitch up until this point. Something was happening now, though, and Krysten was growing apprehensive and anxious. Everyone in the room was perplexed, and she was concerned. Even though she didn’t want her visitors to wait too long, she had no idea where her father had gone or when he would return. She couldn’t do anything about it; all she could do was sit there and pray the surprise wasn’t unpleasant.

Krysten peered anxiously at the hall doors when they eventually opened again. Her father returned to the room, but he wasn’t alone this time. Krysten noticed her father escorting someone into the wedding hall. A woman she did not invite to her wedding. Krysten would never let someone bring an unwelcome visitor to her wedding. Krysten’s eyes widened as her father approached the stage again.
