The Dalai Lama – Bradford City (England)
Tenzin Gyatso, the current and 14th Dalai Lama (spiritual leader of the Tibetan people) made headlines when he showed up in Bradford ahead of their unexpected League Cup Final visit. His holiness blessed the team and sent a letter hailing their ‘tremendous achievement’ of even reaching the final, seeing as how they were a fourth division team at the time. Unfortunately his blessings didn’t cause the team to win the entire thing, but nonetheless, it’s pretty cool to see the Dalai Lama in a Bradford shirt.

Super singer Lady Gaga demonstrated her love for Brazil by standing on her balcony, dropping a banner saying ‘I love RIO’ and sporting a 2010 Brazil national team shirt. We wonder if she’s a fan of Neymar Jr.? She must’ve been gutted when Brazil failed to win yet another World Cup…
