For the next couple of months, Michael was faking his way through. Of course, he loved the child and liked being a father again. The only thing missing was the connection between him and his young daughter. After some days, he would find out why he and this baby had no connection.

It took some time, but he finally connected with the baby girl. Perhaps it was the amount of time they’d spent together, or, more accurately, it was his fatherly instincts kicking back in. He still felt awkward around her, but it was only temporary. Things were starting to feel more normal.
