What Happened: Camilla wore the same color as Elizabeth
According to Royal blogs and watchers, Queen Consort Camilla committed a major fashion faux pas in 2019 when she attended the Commonwealth Day Service in the same hue of purple as Queen Elizabeth. Apparently, wearing the same hue as the Queen to an event is against the rules. Despite the fact that the two women wore different accessories, the media focused on the wardrobe malfunction, circulating rumors that there was strife between the two women as a result of “Purplegate.”

Take note, ladies (and anyone else wearing heels). If you’re heading to an outdoor event where there’s any chance you’ll be walking on grass, wear block heels and nothing else. Wedges and blocks are your friends, as Meghan Markle learned at the Invictus Games a few years ago. Her lovely, presumably-pricey heels sank in the mud, resulting in a fashion malfunction and messy catastrophe that was probably quite difficult to repair.
