Back in Town
Welch went on to appear in a number of films and television shows over the next few years. In 1987, the actress released a single titled “This Girl’s Back in Town.” Welch’s tune reached number 29 on Billboard’s dance club chart. Welch starred in Scandal in a Small Town, Trouble in Paradise, Torch Song, and Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult between the late 1980s and the early 1990s. Welch can even be seen in a Sabrina the Teenage Witch episode from the 1990s.

The Fitness Boom
Welch chose to profit from the 1980s fitness trend because she was no longer obtaining top movie roles. Jane Fonda, Heather Locklear, Alyssa Milano, and Debbie Reynolds all appeared in celebrity fitness videos throughout this decade. With her pin-up features and fantastic form, it was only natural for Welch to branch out into other fields. The actress had been loved and ogled her entire career, and she was still in excellent form in her early 40s.
