Adapting
She found it difficult to make the shift from her lovely home to a retirement community. There was nothing to be upset about and she was treated fairly nicely in the home. Even if the staff does allow a lot of her actions to go unpunished, she just missed having her freedom. She was appreciative of that, especially in light of what she was doing at the time to pass the time with the pop tabs.
It Was Full Of Tabs
Her room was crammed to the gills with cartons, bags, and jugs. Ruth was constantly looking for cans so that she could tear the tabs off of them. She would sit down and count her daily allowance repeatedly every day. Nobody was aware of her motivation, but they would soon learn.
