Jessica Steen – Paula Cassidy
Jessica Steen, who came from Canada to play Special Agent Paula Cassidy on the show for the first four seasons, was overjoyed to be cast in the role. However, when her character was killed off in Season 4, it was the end of the road for her. Jessica returned to Canada and starred in Flashpoint, Republic of Doyle, and Heartland, a popular Canadian television drama set in the prairies. Steen attributes her time on NCIS to giving her career the boost it needed at the time.

Weronika Rosati – Rivka David
Despite her youth, Polish-born actress Weronika Rosati was cast in NCIS as Rivka David, the mother of Ziva and Tali David. She only appeared in one episode at first, with a lot of make-up on to make her look older, but she would return in episodes about Ziva’s memories. Weronika is a well-known actress in Poland, and after making her film debut in Pitbull, she was cast in a minor role in David Lynch’s Inland Empire.
