Dolly’s 1980 film “9 to 5”, co-starring Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda, achieved tremendous success. However, surprisingly, a sequel never materialized. Recently, Dolly revealed her reasoning, stating, “I was never willing to do a sequel because they never presented anything that matched the brilliance of the original. I have a great reverence for history and prefer not to tamper with it, you know? Nonetheless, the issues addressed in the film are still relevant and demand our attention, perhaps in different, innovative ways.”
