Sullivan County was able to close the case after they verified that Flora Harris was Flora Stevens. Sheriff Mike Schiff later explained, “It is not too often that you get to solve a 42-year-old missing person case.”

It took them 42 years, but they managed to do it at last. They were able to find out what happened to the woman who disappeared out of the blue! While they did not get the answers to all of the questions they had, they were glad that she was safe. The 78-year-old woman smiled and waved as they left.
Thankfully the authorities ended up finding Flora, but would pre-school sweethearts Matt and Laura ever be reunited after so many years apart? Only time would tell…
