Eleanor drove to the closest jewelry store after meticulously packing in the store. In fact, she had previously plotted out all five of the nearby establishments in the hopes of finding one that would exchange the stone for something. All she wanted was for them to not see how desperate she was.

Her adventure also didn’t get off to a good start. She was informed by the first retailer that they had no interest in purchasing an ungraded stone and had no want to examine it. Additionally, the second shop was eager to examine the stone but ultimately decided it was not worth their time or effort.
