Emma let out a sigh as she glanced at her phone. Right before she was about to leave for work, her heart sank as she read Lisa’s last-minute cancellation message. Panic set in. How could she possibly manage now? Taking her daughter to work was out of the question. Emma quickly made up her mind. She reached out to her boss, determined to explain the predicament she was facing.
